Applied Behavior Analysis for
Special Populations Graduate Sequence

The University of Massachusetts/Boston and Melmark New England are pleased to offer the Applied Behavior Analysis for Special Populations graduate certificate program for the sixth consecutive year beginning in Fall 2006. During the first five years, the program has enrolled more than 175 students in the course sequence. Those students who have decided to go forward and sit for the examination at either the Associate’s level or Master’s level have been extremely successful. The current passage rate is over 90%.

It is anticipated that the 2006-2007 course sequence will prove to be an exciting year. There have been changes at the Behavior Analysis Certification Board (BACB), including the addition of a fifth course. The five-course sequence, which has been approved by the BACB Board at the Master’s level, began in September of 2005. The program addresses the competencies for the B.A. level as well.
